The world is a bloated, flyblown corpse. The living plane it once was is dead and the putrefaction caused its substance to winnow away, leaving great sucking vacuum. This is evidenced by the titan skeletons of gravity-born beasts floating in the void, the atoms of which resist dating methods and psychometry with null-errors. They were from a world like any sphere we know, warped by weight and square-cube laws. The issue then is not one of scale, but transliteration; the values were swapped, and our spheres are much smaller while physics remains blissfully intact.
